Social Media Strategist

Love Advertising is looking to hire a Social Media Strategist – a thought leader, who can identify, sell-in and execute innovative opportunities that align strategically with client’s objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop on-point social media strategies, backed with supporting rationale and enriched with a core understanding of user behavior.
  • Ensure clients break through the white noise of today’s social landscape.
  • Expand customer dialog beyond one-way communication and into two-way/interactive/captive dialog.
  • Engage and work seamlessly between multiple departments (Account Service, Public Relations, Creative, Digital, Media) to keep up communication and execute client seeding strategies.
  • Ability to communicate paid/owned/earned areas of campaigns, both orally and in writing.
  • Develop and execute social campaigns that compliment and integrate with clients’ advertising and marketing strategies.
  • Provide social advertising support and execute ads based on clients’ objectives.
  • Responsible for the daily development and delivery of brand-appropriate content across social media channels, external communications and blogs.
  • Listen to and monitor all social media outlets: pages, sites, blogs daily and post/respond on topics or in response to other post/comments in a timely manner.
  • Develop reports on social analytics, provide recommendations to improve engagement, and help set practices for agency and its clients.
  • Ensure consistent branding and design across all digital assets (e.g., images, messaging, and layouts).

Social Media Skills

  • Serve as an expert on social media and be a thought leader on emerging practices.
  • Develop objectives and strategies based on client brief and propose social media solutions.
  • Filter research findings and assist in converting to actionable insights.
  • Analyze results, provide campaign effectiveness reports to clients and recommend optimizations when appropriate to improve performance.
  • Help shape the growth of the agency’s social media offerings and educate the team.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field of social media at an advertising agency
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Deep understanding of data, reporting and ROI analysis
  • Proven track record and a clear understanding of what is needed and where the industry is headed
  • Confidently present to clients and listen/adapt based on feedback
  • Prior experience with development of best practice procedure and processes for social media within an agency environment
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple initiatives and priorities within specific timeframes
  • Expert knowledge of all aspects of social media: monitoring and measurement tools, technology, platforms and publishing
  • Firm understand of agency profitability and can lead agency in this matter
  • Expert in UGC laws for photography and other assets

  • Experience working in Strata
  • Graphic design and creative experience with Adobe products
  • Photography and video experience specific to social media platforms
  • Managed a team of employees
